My First Stethoscope

I bought my first stethoscope today. When I held it in my hands for the first time, I actually felt scared. I'm going to be a 3rd year medical student very soon and I can already feel the pressure mount on my shoulders. Next semester will be a killer semester for me : Pharmacology!!!! I hated biochemistry, I can imagine how I'll be killed by Pharmacology. And not to mention, all the finals I have to sit in 3rd year.

Unlike those studying in countries which uses the new learning system, we in Russia are still learning the old school method. We only start using a stethoscope in 3rd year onward.

You guys out there, please pray for my success!!

Oh, and I went for lunch with Izma Es at Alamanda too. I haven't seen her in almost 5 years. I'm so glad I met her today. She accompanied me for a bit of shopping too. hahaha... I just love shopping. Can't live without it ^_^

Too tired to tidy up...

Left Mid Valley quite early today just because my granny called me up saying that she's making ikan bakar for me... I love her ikan bakar.. yumyum... By 5.30pm I was already at my granny's house. I managed to avoid the KL traffic jam *fuh~*. Usually I would leave the mall at 8pm just to avoid being caught in the 5.30-7pm jam.

Remember I said I wanna clean up my room when I get home? Well, I'm already so tired. I just came back from my granny's house. I guess I'll just leave the cleaning for tomorrow. Oh wait, I have plans to go out again tomorrow and on Friday... Might be meeting Izma for drinks, haven't seen her for ages. We have loads of catching up to do. And I'll be meeting my aunt on Friday. OK, let's just push the cleaning up til next Saturday. I do hope my mom does not come into my room, or else she'll nag endlessly.

A reminder to myself : Procrastination is a thief of time

Holy crap!! My Room!!!

I have plans to go out today. So here I am, searching for what to wear from my haphazard wardrobe.

The pile of clothes are in a very very messy stacks, the ones which are supposed to be hang are on top of the folded piles.

I can't find certain makeup.

And where did I put my purse??

There are empty water bottles lying around.

The praying attire is rolled into a corner.

My room is in a mess!!!

It has been like this since Saturday when I went out with some friends. And yesterday when I went out again, the mess has doubled! Now I'm having trouble to find stuff. Gosh, I have to do some cleaning when I get home later.

Amy The Ignorant

They say ignorance is bliss, but not in this situation. When my aunt handed me two RM50 notes (the brand new ones), I was like "Eh? Duit ape ni??" and it took me a few seconds to respond, "Oh, ni duit baru ke? Bile duit ni keluar?"

Today, I realized that I am an ignorant Malaysian. How could I not know my own government released new banknotes in December 2008? I bet if my aunt did not gave me that new banknotes, and next year when I come back to Malaysia again, I'll be shock if the cashier hands me my change with a note I did not recognize. I will be embarrassing myself in public.

What's worse is, if anyone ask me about the details of Malaysian political situations, I wouldn't know what to answer. Most probably I'll just say that Malaysia is still a democratic country with Sultans still having some power.

I'm 22 years-old. And I have never voted before!! Heck, I'm not even registered as a voter! How can I be so ignorant?? Yeah, I'm studying in Russia, but there are ways for overseas students to vote when the election comes, and I admit it, I was just too lazy to bothered.

Gosh, I have to change. I want to be a better Malaysian, not an ignorant one. I have to read the newspaper more. I have to read the main paper first before looking at the comics. When I'm in Russia, I have to at least read the online news once in a while.

If all young Malaysians are like me, I'm afraid that there will no longer be a Malaysia in the long future.

Poetry Disaster

I wrote this piece yesterday. I saw this one drama and it prompted me to write something out of it. After I was done writing, I read it again for the second time. And I laugh at what I wrote. HAHAHAHA.... the first line made me laugh so hard. How did a toothbrush ended up in my poems??? hahahhaha!!!! Isn't it supposed to be a sad piece, but it brought laughter instead. I showed it to Naza. And he laughed too!! And he was right. This does not sound like a poem, it sounds more like a diary instead.

Just wanna share with you peeps this poetry tragedy of mine. hahaha...

I threw your toothbrush away
And kept your towel today
I need not have to rush using the bathroom
Nor need I have to prepare double breakfast
I was glad not having to share the morning papers

I had the busiest day today
And not even once I thought of you
I had dinner with girlfriends
I went shopping too
And I wasn't worried coming home late

But I came home to a dark house
The driveway was empty
Your car was no where to be seen
With no one to greet me in the doorway
No one to give me a hug
No one to tell me I did great today
No one to kiss me good night
And again tonight, I slept alone.

Sang Doo, Let's Go To School (2003)

I finally watched this 6 years old, 16-episode drama. This drama has been kept in my hard disk for more then 6 months, never once had I wanted to watch it before. I really thought that it is a normal classic Korean drama. I was wrong. Regretted for not watching this earlier.

A story of an unforgettable first love, a sacrifice of a loving father, love & despair, letting go and a forbidden love. This drama made me laugh hard and cry like a baby. And after all those tears, when we can almost see the light of happiness...... BANG!!!! But then..... in the very last end, it turned out to be a happy ending after all. Urgghh... the director and script writer needs to be kill for this. 1st we thought it's gonna be a sad ending, then they gave us a bit of hope, then they took away that slight hope, and then finally, they gave us a happy ending. Oh evil director and script writer made me cry.

A drama that made me laugh hard, cry hard deserve a 8.3/10
Besides, Bi and Lee Dong Gun looks super cute. Love Lee Dong Gun!!! hihi ^_^

I Just Can't Resist Baby's Clothing...

A very cute-funky top for my baby cousin, Azalia Zara

I just couldn't resist myself from entering Baby Poney store as I was walking around Alamanda yesterday. And when I entered the baby store, my friends went like "what the hell is she doing in there???" HAHAHAHA.... Baby's clothing are just so cute!!! OMG, I hope this does not turn into a hobby or anything.

I don't know why I enjoyed looking at baby's clothing. Hence, I enjoyed walking around the baby store. The only turn off was that when the sales girl came up to me offering assistance, she said "Ini 50% discount, Puan". I had the shock of my life. Do I look that old?? And when I told her that I'm not even married yet and that I was just looking around to buy for my baby cousin, she apologized and started calling me 'miss'. It was already too late tho!! I just can't understand some people. When one shop for baby stuff, ultimately people around thought "oh, she's shopping for her baby". This is just absurd. And when my friends found out about this incident, they couldn't stop laughing and were teasing me for the rest of the day....

Anyway, I ended up buying something different this time. I chose a funky top in contrast with the outfit I bought before, which was a cute-girly outfit. Moreover, the top said 'i am princess baby poney', which makes perfect sense. Zara means princess.

* reference for non-Malaysian
"Ini 50% discount, Puan" = "This is 50% discount, Ma'am"

Amy's Day Out

Went out today to meet Shah and Saliheen, the two friends that I have not seen in 3 years. And Saliheen brought his girlfriend along. According to him they have been dating for a year plus, and he never even once mention that to me before. So much for being a friend eh Saliheen...? But it's great that I get to meet a new friend. Miza, nice meeting you girl... you are one cool chick.

My day didn't start off quite nicely actually, I was caught in a horrible traffic jam for almost 1 hour because of the pro-ISA and anti-ISA demonstration. The distance from where the traffic congestion started to my destination (Mid Valley) would only take me around 2 minit, but it took me 1 hour for that very very short distance. Unbelievable. And even worse for those who was heading to the city centre.

When I arrived at Mid Valley, it was packed! We wanted to watch a movie after lunch but the queue were unbearable. That is one of the main reason I hate going to shopping malls on weekends. So we all decided to go somewhere else where there will be less people. So we went to Alamanda. The ticketing lines were empty!! haha..

We watched The Proposal. I really enjoyed it. Well first of all, I love Sandra Bullock ever since I watched her in Speed. The movie is really hilarious. It made me laugh all through the way, not just me actually, it made the whole cinema laugh. It was super fun. Loved it. And it was heartwarming in the end.... Nice one. Go watch it people!!!

Addicted to blogging... Is there a remedy out of this?

It's 2.03am and I'm blog stalking... I myself can't get enough of blogging. I used to think that blogging is just a waste of time. But it turns out to be really fun. Now I'm no longer a facebook addict. I became a blogger instead ^_^

Forgotten Bond of An Old RM1

I needed my birth certificate for something, so I requested it from my parents because they are the ones who had kept my birth cert all this while.

While my dad was going through his brief case where he stores all the important documents for safe keeping, he found an old RM1 that was cut into half kept safe in some plastic cover. And he showed it to my mom. My mom never knew my dad had kept the RM1 which she specifically asked him to throw out. Since the event took place more then 20 years ago, my mom told me the story about that half-old-1 ringgit bill.

It happened that my mom was quite popular back when she was in college. She never knew she had a secret admirer back then. She wasn't interested in it anyway I guess. When my mom was about to marry my dad, she sent a bunch of wedding invitations to some of her old college mates. And a while after that, she received a letter. The letter was from a friend who had secretly admired her back in their college days. He told her all his feelings, and with that letter he included this RM1 that was cut in half. He asked my mom to give it to her 1st daughter. He wrote in the letter saying that he will instruct his son to find the girl with the other half of the bill bearing the same serial number BX 9977788.

My brother and I had a great laugh listening to this story about this old promise made by some man more then 20 years ago. I myself was practically rolling on the floor knowing that some one, some where wanted me as a daughter-in-law, even before I was being born!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! It is just so funny.
