Sometimes I feel that I'm so sarcastic and snobbish..

HAHAHAHA.. I just feel sorry towards some people who caught me in the wrong mood. And what annoys me was that they kept coming back again and again. They never get enough, and they never get the signs I send out. I mean, hey... any smart person would get it right away...
Here is an example, well a part of it that is...

*identity of this poor fellow is being concealed. I wouldn't want anyone to sue me due to public embarrassment or anything.. hahhahaha

Look, it's not that I'm some evil-snobbish girl.. I'm just annoyed by some people who never know when to stop. It doesn't matter whether it is in YM, Windows Live, Skype, Twitter, Facebook, Penpals. If I didn't reply any messages or accepted friend requests 5 times in a row, doesn't that clearly says I'm not interested? And they never know when to stop.. urghh...

Just for the record, I'm not some anti-social freak. Unless if the person is a female or an interesting guy or someone I knew in the past, then I wouldn't be bothered to get to know. I have better things to do.
Why I'm being choosy? Well, simple... I don't like talking to idiots.

Anyways, I just want to apologize to those I had offended in the past. You caught me in a wrong place, at a wrong time.

OMG I can't believe that fellow asked for my YM and sended me a friend invite AGAIN.. see what I meant about them never know when to stop?

Hungry but Lazy??

I'm so hungry, but as always, I'm lazy to cook.
So I thought.. Should I have instant noodle?? Oh I can't, I've had that earlier this week. I can't have too many instant noodles in a week. I don't want my hair to fall off by the age of 50.hahhahaha..
What can I make that isn't time consuming. Kimchi bokkeumbap??
OHHH.. great idea.. that's super easy...
Now enjoying my Kimchi fried rice. YUMMY~

5 Simple Rules To Be Happy

1. Free your heart from hatred

2. Free your mind from worries

3. Live simply

4. Give more

5. Expect less

No one can go back and make a brand new start,
Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

God didn't promise days without pain,
Laughter without sorrow,
Sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Disappointments are like roads humps,
they slow you down a bit,
but you'll enjoy the smooth road afterwards,
Don't stay on the humps too long.
Move on!

When you feel down because you didn't get what you want,
just sit tight and be happy,
because God is thinking of something better to give you.

When something happens to you,
good or bad, consider what it means.
There's a purpose to life's events,
To teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.

You can't make someone love you,
All you can do is be someone who can be loved,
The rest is up to the person to realize your worth.

The measure of love is when you love without measure.
In life there are very rare chances that you'll meet the person you love
and loves you in return.
So once you have it,
Don't ever let go.
The chance might never come your way again.

It's better to lose your pride to the one you love,
then to lose the one you love because of pride.

We spend too much time looking for the right person to love
or finding fault with those we already love,
When instead we should be perfecting the love we give.

When you truly care for someone,
You don't look for faults,
You don't look for answers,
You don't look for mistakes.
Instead, you fight the mistakes,
You accept the faults,
And you overlook the excuses.

~These are words I stumbled upon in the internet. I think I need these simple reminders from time to time. So let me share them with you peeps...

The First Snow....

It's still October, and yes, Moscow woke up to its first snow fall this morning...

For those who has never experienced snow or winter before.. you would say :
"Snow? Oh cool!!" --> Yeah, I get this a lot from friends back home.

Uhuh...Nope, it's not cool. It's cold. It's windy. It's gloomy. And when it starts to really really snow heavily, it's wet and slippery. Not cool at all.

Hey, didn't the mayor said he's gonna make this year a 'snow'less winter?? It was reported that he ordered the military to spraying some chemical into the clouds and make it dump the snow outside of Moscow. What happened to that? Environmentalists must have stopped his zany plans hahaha...

Anyways, I'll try and be positive this time...
And maybe just enjoy the white winter.

Fun day or not so fun day...

I had pharmacology today. I didn't pass last week's test, so I had to repeat it today. And as any other Thursdays, it was a boring, exhausting, nerve-wrecking day... I hate Thursdays. In addition, I had a microbiology test yesterday. Urghhh....what an exhausting week.

Anyway, after all the torture for the past few days, I managed to release all those tense after my class ended, which ended VERY late.. my lecturer extended the class for another 1 1/2 hours today.. Raimie invited me and Badd for dinner after our class. At first I didn't feel like joining because I was too exhausted, I just felt like going back and jump straight into my cozy bed. But Budd kept asking me to join. So I decided to go and have a short dinner..

Well...the short dinner turned out to be a long one. We left the restaurant after 10PM. I had a great time actually.. eating, chit-chatting, laughing, talking about stuff... I think Raimie was a bit taken aback by my bluntness, since we don't spend time with each other, we never had same classes before hahhaha... Even though he said I wasn't, I still think I was very straightforward. Some people who don't know me well, or seldom spends time with me would always be a bit awkward after seeing that side of me...hahahaha... Hey, it's better to show true colors in friendship rather then be a hypocrite right??

OK here's where I advertise hahha..

We went to Daikon Sushi & Noodle House. It's a very nice restaurant, with a very nice ambient. The food was great too. Well it was a bit costly, but once in a while, I guess it was OK. Anyway, Raimie insisted in paying. I really wanted to pay for my part, but he insisted. Oh well, I'll make sure I'll return the favor later. Thanks for dinner pal!

Sorry for posting this up dude!!! HAHAHHAHAH....!!! But this is just too funny not to share it with everyone.. Don't worry, this shows the funny side of you..HAHAHAHA!!!

Kimchi recipe

This is by request from some people. You can actually find recipes and videos online easily. But I'll post this just for the sake of it.

Ingredients :

2 Napa cabbage
10 green onions/spring onions
1/2 Radish (if you're using the round smaller type of radish, you can use one whole radish)
Carrot (optional)
1 stalk of leek (optional)
1/2 apple
1/2 pear
1 clove of garlic
1 piece of ginger
1 onion (1/2 if the onion is big)
1 1/4 cup of chili powder
5 tablespoons sugar.
1 cup of salt
8-10 cups of water
7 tablespoons of anchovy sauce (can also substitute with fish sauce)
2 tablespoons of sesame oil

1. Cut napa cabbage into bite size. (It's also possible not to cut it, kimchi is also served in large pieces).

2. Transfer the cut cabbage into a large basin or bowl. Dissolve the salt with water; it doesn't need to be entirely dissolve. Pour the salt water onto the cabbage. If the salt water does not submerge the cabbage, add water and a bit of salt according to its proportion.

3. Let the cabbage to soak in salt water overnight. If you don't have the time to do so, or if you're in a hurry, you can let it soak just for 2-3 hours or so. But remember to keep overturning the cabbage from time to time.

*Note : I added one stalk of leek as well. This is optional.

To prepare sauce.

1. Blend apple, pear, onion, garlic, ginger and anchovy/fish sauce all together. I personally used one whole pear because I want to use less sugar.

2. Cut the green onions/spring onions into small pieces about 5cm long.

3. Shred radish and carrot.

4. Dump everything in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and chili powder. You can also add a bit of sesame oil.

5. Mix everything together.

Lastly,

1. Drain the cabbage from salt water. Rinse with lots of water.

2. Mix cabbage with the sauce made earlier.

3. Store kimchi in a container at room temperature overnight and then keep it in refrigerator.

*Note : If you usually avoid salty food, remember to rinse the cabbage thoroughly with water. Or else your kimchi would be too salty. The one mistake I made on my first time making it was that I didn't rinse it enough.

There's a lot more you can do with kimchi other then just a side dish.
You can make kimchi jigae (kimchi stew).
Also, kimchi friedrice. YUMMY~

My Kimchi Story..

Everyone knows that I love the Korean world. I love their culture, and most of all, I absolutely love their celebs.. hehehe.. Me and my Korean obsession never ends...

And yeah, I love Korean food too. My favorite is Chapchae+Kimchi & Tteokbokki. So today I made my very first Kimchi.

My Kimchi story is a very messy story hahhaha.. From the moment I start cutting the vegetables to mixing it with the sauce.

~Things flew off the chopping board onto the floor..

~I forgot some ingredients and I had to go watch the video on youtube again...

~I spilled the chili powder...

~I forgot to put in sugar until the very last minute..

~The plastic hand cover tore during my mixing process...and in the end I had to use my bare hands to mix it. Don't worry, my hands were very clean..

~Then I forgot to get a container ready to store the mixed kimchi. I had a hard time getting a container with one clean hands...

~I was disorientated most of the time because there were so many things on the table, and the table was small...

I had to leave the cabbage in salt water overnight

This is how it looks after mixing everything up. Yeah, I know.. I might have gone overboard with the sauce hahhaha.. That amount of sauce is for 2 cabbages, but I only had one. And I was stupid not to cut down on the ingredients for the sauce when I knew I only had one cabbage..

Hahaha.. as I've said before..
My first Kimchi story is a mess

My stupid iPod

OK here's the thing. I tried to jailbreak my darling iTouch. And YES, I did follow the instructions step by step... And after my iPod finish rebooting, and I unlock my iPod........

There isn't any cydia in my iPod!

OK, fine, so maybe I did something wrong... And so I went to watch the video on how to jailbreak again... Nope, I didn't do any mistakes.. I did exactly the same thing the dude in the video did to his iPod. So I tried again....

Nope.... still no cydia...

I tried to watch another different video

and

I tried AGAIN.....

Still... NO CYDIA!!!!

Is my iPod dumb??? This is my 3rd time trying... nothing happened.. My iPod is still the same as before.. No cydia, No nothing....

~I'm frustrated.. I'm going off to bed~

I'm good at wasting money...

HAHAHAHA... Right.. They say I'm a shopaholic. Well, I just felt like spending money today. I didn't spend much actually. I just bought things I don't need. Like the new iPod cover I bought today. Actually I bought a pink cover just 2 weeks ago. And I bought the exact same cover today, but a different color, only because it's cheap. hahahaha.. Now I have 3 iPodtouch covers. Why do I need 3 covers when I only have one iPod???? Beats me, I don't know. I bought it for fun because it was cheap. By the way, Apple reseller stores are now letting go of their old stocks of iPod covers.

And the cute mug I bought today was unnecessary as well. Frankly, I don't need one... Well I did broke my favorite mug recently. But I do have another mug. And I bought another one anyway...Hey, it was cute and on sale. They cut down the price from 490rubbles to 200rubbles. It's cheap, and cute. I don't have the heart to walk away after seeing the mug on the shelf with that cheap price. I just felt like giving the mug a 'new home'. hahhahah...

~Sorry for babbling nonsense people.... I'm just not in my right mind now. Pharmacology had sucked the life and soul out of me.

This is how carhijackers do it..

BEWARE girls (and boys too, it happened to guys too). Malaysian police are now warning citizens about this new scheme of car-hijacking that has been happening in Malaysia many times now.

OK here's the basic story on how it can happen :

You walk across the parking lot towards your car. Then you unlock your car and get inside. And you start your engine and put your gear to reverse. When you look to the back of your car, or look into the rear view mirror, you'll notice a paper stuck on the rear window of your car. It could be anything..just a paper or an advertisement or something else. But what's for sure, it's blocking you view. So you'll shift the gear back into neutral or park, unlock the doors and get out of the car to remove the piece of paper. When you reach the back of your car, that's when the hijacker will jump into your car and drive off. They might even run you down as they speed off with your car.

And as for ladies, wouldn't your purse still be in the car. Now the hijacker have your house keys, home address, money. So much worse can happen next. And even worse for mothers with child on board..I just couldn't imagine the outcome.

So this is a reminder to everyone.

DO NOT GET DOWN FROM YOUR VEHICLE IF YOU SEE ANYTHING ON YOUR WINDOW-SHIELD

Take it off when you finally reached home.

You can also install an alarm system that will stall your car and set off the alarm if the right combination of code isn't inserted correctly.

I hate iTunes for doing this to me!!

iTunes have been asking me if I wanted to download the newest iTunes9 a million times before this...OK, I'm just exaggerating here, a million times would be impossible, but you get what I mean... hahaha... Anyways, I've always ignored those messages because I thought I would never need a new iTunes. I've been using the same version of iTunes for more then 2 years now. But recently I got frustrated because I couldn't share some iTunes file with other users, just because their iTunes version isn't compatible with mine. So I finally decided to change to the new iTunes.

This is how my iTunes looks like after the change!!!

4000+ songs gone!!
200+ videos gone!!
My radio links gone!!
Every playlist gone!! (I had a lot of playlist, for different moods and purposes)

I had a backup playlist saved, but I just don't know what happened. I couldn't restore them. The only things that I could restore was my iTouch applications and podcasts. The rest...... GONE!!

I had to MANUALLY add all the songs and videos back into my iTunes and putting it into its respectful playlist, setting up my Genius playlist & iTunes store etc... And... when I wanted to sync my iPod, it recognizes my new iTunes as a different iTunes player, so my iPod had to erase everything and then sync with the new one. It took me almost 2 hours to put everything back to how it was before, complete with album artwork. The only good that I get was that iTunes automatically search and download all the album artwork that I don't have.

Stupid iTunes!!! Don't get me wrong, I do love iTunes. I've used iTunes for 5 years. So peeps, here's a lesson learned.
DO NOT SIMPLY CHANGE YOUR iTUNES VERSION!
It's so tedious to restore them back again. And it's not worth it, there are not much changes anyway.

Park Pobedy (Victory Park)

This was the place Napoleon waited for the key to the city when his army was surrounding Moscow in 1812

Победа (Pabeda) means victory in Russian. Park Pobedy is a memorial park for the Great Patriotic War. They would have parades on Victory Day, which is some time in May.

Wadie YMed me this afternoon asking if I wanted to go out because he was super bored. According to him his room felt like a mini 'hell'. It seems like he underestimated hell. hahahhahaha...

Anyways, I was only up for shopping today. Since I felt like having Texas Chicken, I suggested that we go to the 3 malls in Tulskaya, which is just 10minutes from my hostel (including the walk to the metro).

As we were having our late lunch, he managed to convince me to say yes to the idea of his. Which is to go for a walk in Park Pobedy. I've never been to Park Pobedy before, but I never thought that place was interesting.

That is the statue on top of the Museum of Victory

Don't you just love the colors of autumn?

Those are actually statues of naked people. hahhaha.. interesting eh? I did took a closeup picture with the statues, but nah, can't post it up here. I don't want to put my 'innocence' to be in jeopardy. HAHAHAHA!!

I love autumn!!

A triangular obelisk, 150 meters high with Nike mounted at the top. Nike is the goddess of victory -->ancient Rome? I don't know...

There were many people from all walks of life enjoying their leisure time. A lot of them were on roller blades, skateboards, bicycles... I in particular, really enjoyed my stroll. As I've said before, I love autumn. And today, the weather was awesome. It wasn't too cold, neither it was too hot.
~I love the cool weather today~

My Russian circus experience

Went to watch a circus performance with friends yesterday. Russians are kinda specialized in these kinda performances. I heard that the London circus' performers are mostly Russian trained. I've been to a London circus before, and it was awesome.

This particular circus I went was just OK. It was fun and there were some awesome performances, but I've seen better ones. But then again, this is just an everyday performances, not a world tour like the London circus.

Hasifi managed to take pictures of some of the acts. It was prohibited to take pictures actually, but hey, a few wouldn't harm anyone right..hihi

These are 2 most annoying clown I've ever seen. They came out in between performances to make time for the circus' staffs to get the props ready in place for the next performance.

This is weird. I can't upload more photos. I tried to upload earlier too. It said that some internal problem has occurred. Now when I tried again, same thing happens. Damn blogspot! I've been wondering if I should change to wordpress.

The colors of autumn

Autumn is my favorite season ^_^

It's already the middle of autumn. And I'm loving all the colors. All the trees has turned golden-brownish-yellow .... and my heart has changed to a color similar to the colors of those trees. A calm, nice feeling inside. Some people may think it's weird to like a dull-brown autumn rather than a fresh-green spring.

Spring is nice too. After a very very dull-gloomy-depressing winter, my heart feels happy seeing the first bud of leaves. But it is still very cold in spring. Plus, Russia's spring is unlike spring in other parts of the world, where it's nice and warm. The snow still falls here in spring. And just like everybody else, I hate the cold-wet snow.

Simple signs to recognize a stroke

Here's a story that commonly happens --- Some people wouldn't even know that they are actually having a stroke before it's too late.

Jane (name changed), was having BBQ with her husband and friends when she stumbled and fell. It was just a little fall, and she reassured everyone that she was fine and there was no need for the paramedics to be called. She said that it was just a little trip because she had new shoes on. Although Jane appeared a bit shaken, but she continue to enjoy the rest of her afternoon.

Later that day, Jane's husband called up everyone and informing that Jane had been taken to the hospital. She passed away at 6PM.

Jane had a stroke at the BBQ party. If anyone had known how to identify these simple signs of stroke, she might still be alive. Of course in some cases, if stroke victims got to the hospital a bit later, the person ends up bed ridden instead.

Friends, family or even bystander can easily recognize a stroke by asking these :

1. SMILE : Ask the person to smile. See if his/her smile is crooked.

2. TALK : Ask the person to talk and speak a simple sentence coherently.
Eg. "The weather is good today."

3. RAISE : Ask the person to raise both of his/her arms.

4. TONGUE : Ask the person to stick out his/her tongue.

If that person has any difficulties in doing any of task 1,2,3 and if his/her tongue is crooked to one side, these are signs of a stroke.

~ A neurologist said that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours, he can reverse the effect of the stroke.

This part is for the victim himself/herself.

If you :

1. Feel a sudden numbness or weakness in face, arm/legs...especially in one side of the body,

2. Feel a sudden confusion, difficulties in understanding or speaking,

3. Have sudden trouble in seeing (one eye or both),

4. Feel a sudden dizziness, trouble in walking, lost of balance/coordination,

5. Feel a sudden headache with no other known cause,

If you experience more than one of these symptoms, most probably you're having a stroke. Get help immediately.

Pathology

Pathology

I'm only 60% through, and I'm already sleepy. My eyes are so groggy, my brain is foggy, my butt is numb... I'm tired. Had Pharmacology class earlier today, and came back at 9.10pm. Our lecturer extended the class for another extra hour, she does this for every class. And after class, me and my classmates stopped for dinner on our way home. I knew I shouldn't have. I knew I had a test tomorrow. I knew I still had so much to cover.... but my tummy was grumbling by the end of our Pharmacology class. I just have to abide to my tummy's plead.

What the hell am I gonna do tomorrow....??
Let's pray that I'll get some easy questions and easy slides. Hodgkin's lymphoma looks like it's easy to detect those Reed-Sternberg cells (it looks like an owl's eyes).... hehehe... I hope I'll get that slide.

To everyone : Please pray that I'll get easy questions for tomorrow!!
Screw my other groupmates, pray for me first.. hahhahahha...

I really really really want one of this

Cute right?? Yeah, you'll think this is a toy.
Nope... It's not a toy, neither a concept car. Yeah, you heard me right. It IS an actual car.

It's a newly developed single-seat, highly aerodynamic, tear-shape (very cute), road-proven actual car.

It's going to be launch in Shanghai in 2010 for just RMB4000, which is approximately USD 600!!!!!
Holly crap! I'm gonna try and get myself one of this. The shipping from China to Malaysia wouldn't be that expansive right?? But I wonder if the tax would be high, but still, it's USD600!!! How high can the tax get?

Interesting eh? Wait till I tell you about some facts about this awesomely cool car.....

Fact #1 : This car can go up to 100-120Km/hour. Do not underestimate this little cutie.
Fact #2 : It uses 0.99litre/100Km of fuel. That is so economic!
Fact #3 : It's super cute!!!! hahhahahhaha... Traffic jam? No problem. Full parking space? No problem.

I wonder if my mom would let me have it. Oh well, I'll just try hard to convince her about this.

Seriously - Irony

This is my latest favorite song.

A nap that turned into deep sleep...

It was supposed to be an hour nap, but it turned out to be a 3 hours nap. An epic failure...
Why am I this tired??? Weird.. It's not like things were so hectic today. And I did get a full 7 hours sleep yesterday night. hahahhahaha..... Well I guess this proves that I LOVE Sleep!!

After waking up, I remembered an email of cute pictures I received from my uncle a few days ago...

Have you ever been this tired?? Well, I kinda understand their feelings..hahhaha

They are SUPER cute!!
